About the Championship

What is the Massage Championship World Tour (MCWT)?

AMC2026 competitors, judges, staff and volunteers

Vision & Mission

Raising each other's skill, and raising the craft the world over.

The Massage Championship World Tour (MCWT) exists to advance the craft of massage, therapy and esthetics, and to raise the standing of the people who practise it. Most treatment work happens behind a closed treatment-room door, where few others ever see it. This championship is a place where your everyday technique is judged against eight criteria and returned to you as a score. The preparation itself — from the moment you decide to enter until you step onto the floor — becomes a chance to take a fresh look at your own hands. Therapists from all over the world, of every nationality and school, gather in one venue. By watching other competitors' treatments up close and talking with them directly, you take something back to your own practice. We believe this accumulation is what raises the standard of the whole industry.

Host, Operations and Sales

Hosted by the International Therapy Association and run by the MCWT2027 Organizing Office. Entries and spectator tickets are sold by Prorium Inc., which receives payments and handles refunds.

What we do

Our work rests on three pillars: running the championship, exchanging technique, and publishing what happens there.

Hosting the world championship

We plan and run the Massage Championship World Tour, giving therapists from around the world a stage on which to compete in six divisions.

Workshops and exchange of technique

The first day is a workshop day, with seminars and hands-on sessions led by instructors from Japan and around the world. You are welcome to join even if you are not competing.

Maintaining the judging criteria

We maintain eight judging criteria and a top-and-bottom-cut scoring method, so that technique can be judged fairly across divisions.

Publishing results and the archive

We publish the place-getters of every championship and keep them online as a lasting record, so past results can be looked up years later.

The championship series

How the series grew from a national championship in Japan to an Asian championship and a world tour.

Past championships

Starting from JMC2023 (the Japan Massage Championship), we have held AMC2024, MCWT2025 and AMC2026. The place-getters of each are on the Past Championship Records page.

The next championship

MCWT2027 will be held on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 May 2027 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Second Gymnasium. Entries are open from 19:00 JST (10:00 UTC) on Tuesday 27 October 2026 to 23:59 JST (14:59 UTC) on Monday 15 March 2027.

Entry fee

33,000 yen (tax included) per entry. You can enter up to two divisions; each entry is charged separately.

Partnerships

The championship is made possible by the support of many sponsor companies and schools. Those relationships are what sustain the running of the event and the depth of its workshops.
