Entry
You do not have to be chosen to compete.
All that is required is that you put your hands on clients every day. We do not ask how many years you have done it, which school you follow, or who you work for. If you have read this far and thought "not yet, not me" — this part is written for you.
- Can I compete without speaking English?
- Yes. Judging looks at the treatment itself; language is not part of the score. Where you need to speak with an international judge, an interpreter is there with you.
- I am not very experienced. Will I embarrass myself?
- There is no requirement for years of experience. You need only be 18 or over and able to carry out a 30-minute treatment without stopping. Judging looks at the treatment itself against eight criteria — your background and where you work are not part of the score.
- Do I have to bring my own model?
- No. Competitors take turns acting as models for each other, so there is no need to bring one (and a companion may not act as your model). If you have unavoidable circumstances, please talk to the secretariat before entering.
